About Me

Robin Toler, ATR-BC, LAC is a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Addictions Couselor specializing in individual, couples and family art therapy (also known as art psychotherapy) and addictions counseling and maintains a private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

With 17 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana, she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1989 and in 1992 graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a Master of Art Therapy degree in art therapy specializing in art based therapy interventions for women, men, adolescents and children. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are feminist based therapy practices, women's empowerment, women's mental health, women and pain management, women and substance abuse, and multicultural and diversity mental health practices.

In addition, Robin Toler  has presented at national conferences and to general audiences on topics ranging from professional development, compassion fatigue, women's issues, addictions She has particular interests in compassion fatigue, professional burn out, fairy tales, story dolls, women's issues and povarea of presentations]

Robin Toler, ATR-BC, LAC is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional and art based approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles, methods and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
